Jan Lerner Esposito, M.A.
Certified Educational Planner

I started my career as a music therapist working with teenagers in the NYC Dept. of Social Services and then at the Jewish Guild for the Blind. As an adjunct professor at New York University and Molloy College, I worked with college students and found my passion to help young people design their future.

I made mistakes on my educational journey and transferred from George Washington University to the University at Buffalo, mostly due to the financial burden. Then, I took out loans to attend graduate school at NYU and earned my teaching certification and master’s in music therapy. I worked as a professional singer for many years. In fact, Tony and I first met as musicians in a band. I continue to sing in local chorales, practice yoga, share my love of reading in my book club, and love to garden. I also love being Nana to our three grandchildren.

I am committed to helping students find a college that fits them academically, socially and financially and assisting them in the application process.

Tony Esposito
Independent Educational Consultant

I am a first-generation college graduate who worked while attending community college. I transferred to Hunter College to earn my B.A. and started my own financial services business.

Jan and I are both independent educational consultants, members of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors, the NYS Association for College Admissions Counseling, and professional members of the Independent Education Consultants Association.

I am a born-and-raised New Yorker. My passions include education, counseling, advocating for students, playing music, gardening, yoga, and cooking. We lived in Manhattan, teaching and playing music, and then bought a home in the Long Island suburbs to raise a son and daughter. One graduated from RPI, and the other from Skidmore College. Our children are married and have given us three wonderful grandchildren.
